Over the weekend we released a little tool which is called PyCow. PyCow translates Python code to JavaScript code with the “MooTools way of class declaration”.

• PyGoWave Server is developed on Arch Linux (64bit) with KDE4.
• My computer is a Dell Inspiron 9400.
• The code editor of my choice is Komodo Edit.
• To rip off certain color and pixel values from Google’s screenshots, I use GIMP.
• I surf around the web with Opera, but use Firefox for debugging and also use Google Chrome (dev version for Linux) for testing.
• jGrouseDoc renders my JavaScript docstrings to HTML.
• Components used in PyGoWave: Python, Apache, MySQL, Django, Orbited, RabbitMQ, MooTools, MochaUI.
• While coding, I like to listen to Demovibes Demoscene Radio, though I am no real scener (yet – been at the Evoke 2008, obviously being completely unknown).

Right now, I am reimplementing the client. I already did most of the theoretical design and I’m now in the middle of translating that into JavaScript code.

The next release will (already) feature basic Blips. You will be able to concurrently write text, add Gadgets and post replies. No formatting, images and inline Blips (i.e. Blips which you can insert in the middle of some text).

I won’t promise anything (as always), but I think I can do this within the next two weeks.
